Equipment Recommendations and Training

Going the DIY route take some investment if you want your auditions to look good.  You may be starting from scratch, or depending on what you already own or can compile through your actor network you may only need to add a few things to your arsenal.  Wherever you are in that process CEL Studio offers consulting on what products might be best for you.  In addition, once you’ve purchased equipment we offer training to get you started. 

When considering gear we always keep in mind your budget, your needs and the space in which you are recording.  More gear doesn't mean better results.  We can then speak with you about the principles of self taping at home or on the road, as well as your specific needs and solutions.  If you are not located in the Twin Cities area we are happy to work with you via Google Meet or Zoom.

Equipment Recommendations and Training rates

On-camera audition recording equipment consultation - $50 per hour.

On-camera audition recording equipment training - $75 per hour and a half.   $100 for 2 hours.

We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express debit and credit cards, as well as Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and Apple Pay.  All forms of payment other than cash, Venmo and Zelle are subject to 2.8% processing fee.

For actors outside the Twin Cities market we can do these consultations via Google Meet or Zoom.
